Ten Book Recommendations For
Lovers Of Strong Heroines
(In the Romance & Urban Fantasy Genres)
1. Night Huntress Series By Jeaniene Frost
Genre: Urban Fantasy (Adult)
I consider this series a classic in its genre. If you're a lover of vampires
and other paranormal creatures you'll love Cat's spunk and tenacity.
2. Crossbreed Series By Dannika Dark
Genre: Urban Fantasy (Adult)
This is (so far) the best series this author has written. Its heroine is sassy and
kick*ss. The characters are so well developed with brilliant individual
personalities. It's action packed with a pinch of romance.
3. Steel & Stone Series By Annette Marie
Genre: Urban Fantasy (YA)
This series is heavy on the fantasy (with demon variations that will make your
head explode because of how interesting the author makes it all). The story
in itself very well written and amazingly intricate with quite a few scenes of
silliness and mortal danger.
4. The Veil Series By Pippa DaCosta
Genre: Urban Fantasy (Adult)
I can't say enough good things about this series as a whole. There's plot twist
after unimaginable plot twist. The author will keep you on your toes
throughout the series. The characters are very well written and the heroine
evolves into a bad*ss.
5. Six Months (Seven #2) By Dannika Dark
Genre: Paranormal Romance (Adult)
This is one of the darker novels in the Seven series. It deals with loan sharks,
romance and how far the heroine will go to protect herself. It's a beautiful story.

6. Deeper By Robin York
Genre: Contemporary Romance (Adult)
This novel deals with revenge porn and how a young woman will
evolve to deal with the situation. It starts off slow and pitiful but morphs
into a beautiful romance.

7. Alpha & Omega Series By Patricia Briggs
Genre: Urban Fantasy (Adult)
This is included in that classics list I mentioned earlier. I adore the
evolution Ana goes through just in the first novel alone. It's gradual, but
it's worth the read.
8. Morganville Vampires Series By Rachel Caine
Genre: Urban Fantasy (YA)
I've read these novels throughout the years and Clare's evolution (up to the
point that I read - around book #9 or so) was pretty stark and fascinating.
She starts out very meek and getting bullied. Her "transformation" spans quite a
few books in the series. If vampires trapped in a city with a human university
sounds like something you'd like, I'd recommend this series.

9. Sabina Kane Series By Jaye Wells
Genre: Urban Fantasy (Adult)
The first novel in this series is, by far, the strongest of them all. Sabina
is an incredible fighter trying to impress/appease her grandmother (with
extenuating circumstances). She's a bad*ss and won't take sh*t from anyone.
10. Fighting Silence By Aly Martinez
Genre: Contemporary Romance (Adult)
This is one of the more emotionally charged books on this list. It starts off
with the characters being, to a certain degree, broken. The transition of
them building the relationship and the problems that arise throughout that
is heartbreaking and makes for a beautiful story.
