My Review:

This started out what a bang! I adored Skye because I saw so much of myself in her. I laughed so much that I cried in a few parts. The problem emerged 76% into the novel and it made me dislike a lot things, in particular: Skye. As a result, I ended up skimming the last two chapters because I just didn't care enough to continue, what I started considering torture.

From the first page, the reader is introduced to Skye and her almost contagious personality. Also, from the beginning the reader is told of this horrible no-no the happened between Skye and Ollie. When I finally found out I agreed 100% with her, but I couldn't, for the life of me, understand why she ended up with who she ended up with by the end of it all. 

I didn't understand the cop out she used with Patrick. So what if his family isn't fond of her? It's not like she's going to be sleeping with, living with and marrying his family. I'd also like the point out that unlike Ollie (way back in the day), Patrick wasn't a d*ck to her at any point in time, despite having everything he could possible need when money was considered.

Ollie rubbed me the wrong way the entire novel. The mention of him with a 'furious glare' or a 'pointed look', had me rolling my eyes by chapter 5. If he 'loved' her SO much why didn't he say something sooner? Why wait until Skye gets a boyfriend and all the jazz?

Everything seemed to go down hill from the 76% mark, which is very unfortunate. However I loved Skye's 'experiments' in dating and putting herself out there. I also liked her clumsiness and her internal monologues, which were very witty and long winded at times. 

Conclusion: The good in this novel evened the bad to an average rating.
