Top 25 Books Of 2013: #13 The Rising (Darkness Rising #3) by Kelley Armstrong

 Book #13

The Rising

(Darkness Rising #3)

By Kelley Armstrong

Things are getting desperate for Maya and her friends. Hunted by the powerful St. Clouds and now a rival Cabal as well, they're quickly running out of places to hide. And with the whole world thinking they died in a helicopter crash, it's not like they can just go to the authorities for help.

All they have is the name and number of someone who might be able to give them a few answers. Answers to why they're so valuable, and why their supernatural powers are getting more and more out of control.

But Maya is unprepared for the truths that await her. And now, like it or not, she'll have to face down some demons from her past if she ever hopes to move on with her life. Because Maya can't keep running forever.

Old secrets are revealed and unexpected characters make a surprising return in this stunning conclusion to Kelley Armstrong's New York Times bestselling Darkness Rising trilogy.

My Thoughts:

I loved the Darkest Powers Trilogy, so it's obvious I have good things to say about the Darkness Rising Trilogy. Both ended way, way, WAY too soon! I would love to see more of Derek (DPT) and more of Rafe (DRT). Personally, I think Mrs. Armstrong should take both trilogies out of the young adult world and put them in either new adult or adult paranormal romance. It's all TOO innocent, so it does lose a little of it's shine because of that. I hope Mrs. Armstrong writes more on this world and does her fans justice by just ending it once and for all. Because let's face it: Mrs. Armstrong doesn't know when to let the reader go. She ALWAYS leaves untied ends so she can go back in 10 years and write more. Well, you know what? I'd be happier getting a happily ever after then to be left in my corner all alone wondering WHAT-IF. & That's coming from my heart C;

P.S. I didn't review this book when I read it in April. My rating will be below and consider 'My Thought's' my review. =]
