On the Prowl
(Alpha & Omega #0.5)
By Patricia Briggs

In Cry Wolf, New York Times bestselling author Patricia Briggs started a new urban fantasy series set in the world of Mercy Thompson, but with rules of its own. Now, read Alpha & Omega, the novella that inspired the new series, and see how it all began.
Anna Latham never knew werewolves existed, until the night she survived a violent attack and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the Chicago pack, she's learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males.

But when she discovers wrong doing in her pack, she has to go above her Alpha's head to ask for help. Charles Cornick is the son and enforcer of the leader of the North American werewolves. Now his father has sent him to Chicago to clean up a problem there.

Pack
By Jeaniene Frost

Previously published in the Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance and the Under Her Skin anthologies—now updated to include over 20% more sizzling extra material.

Marlee isn’t alone in the woods. Daniel is sworn to keep the existence of werewolves a secret. Yet Marlee is awakening Daniel’s most primal urges, and soon, neither one of them will be able to resist the call of the wild.

Atoning
(Darkness Rising #3.1)
By Kelley Armstrong

Chloe's POV set after The Darkness Rising trilogy.

Chloe and Derek have adjusted to life in Badger Lake. It’s not perfect, but it’s safe and they’re learning the skills they’ll need when it comes time to make a decision about their futures. They’re comfortable and they’re settled . . . until a weekend camping trip with Maya and Daniel reunites them with someone they thought they’d left in the past. Someone Derek really hoped they’d left in the past, because as much as this former friend might want to atone for past mistakes, she’s nothing but trouble.

This is a Subterranean Press ebook only release, containing 4 original illustrations. Please note that Atoning is a novella, not a full-length novel (it’s about one-third as long as the books).

The Gift
(Mageri #5.5)
By Dannika Dark

Despite a powerful snowstorm that has shut down the city, Silver and the Mageri crew are preparing to spend a peaceful holiday at home, surrounded by family, food, and merriment. But the party comes to an abrupt end when Logan receives an unexpected call, one that forces him to make a life-changing decision that could affect his relationship with Silver forever. Can they find the courage to weather the storm?

Lives are at risk in this compelling and heartwarming story about the remarkable journey of love.

THE MAGERI SERIES is an exciting urban fantasy romance about a young woman's claim to immortality. Passionate, humorous, dark, and full of unpredictable twists, the Mageri series will take you on an unforgettable journey of love, friendship, and the hidden power within us all. Cliffhanger-free.

  1. I don't really read many novellas, but I have been enjoying the Three Dark Crowns novellas, because they have revealed some interesting information, which was not included in the previous books.

    1. I love novellas that introduce new concepts and information with a POV of a character that's still pertinent to the main story/book! Those are my favorite :)

  2. On the PRowl looks good, and so does Pack. I guess I need more werewolf stories! several people have told me that the Alpha and Omega novellas are almost better than the main Mercy series?

    1. I adored the On The Prowl novella and the first Alpha & Omega novels, but after that they kind of fell off for me. The Mercy Thompson series has been better (in my opinion) but they still make for interesting stories that I'm actively seeing out. The A&O novels don't have that same effect (unfortunately) :/
