Book Tag: Halloween Book Tag

Halloween is my favorite time of year! I look forward to it all year round, but being in Brazil doesn't make it all that interesting. It just gives me a push to dress more creepily (if that makes any sense) and be able to explain it away without being TOO weird. This tag was created by Michelle over on Book Adventures.

1.) Favorite Scary (Must Read) For Halloween?

2.) Scariest Book Cover, Like Ever?

I remember the covers for the Goosebumps Night Of The Living Dummy books
scaring the life out of me. They still scare me so feel free to look for them
because I won't be giving myself nightmares posting them here :)

3.) If You Could Go Trick-or-Treating With Any
Author, Who Would You Pick?

I would love to pick the authors brain on their future stories so I'd pick Dannika
Dark and hope I can swindle information on her future books from her.

4.) If You Could Dress Up As Any Bookish Character
For Halloween, Who Would You Be?

Do Little Red Riding Hood count? I've always wanted to have an
excuse to buy a cloak that I could, in theory, wear out after the fact :)

5.) If You Could Find Anything (From Any Book) In Your
Trick-or-Treat Stash, What Would You Hope To Find?

I'd love a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts this point.
Even though I'm not a fangirl the possibility of learning
how to do magic is exciting.

6.) In What Fictional World Would You Like
To Go Trick-or-Treating?

I'm open to where ever. As long as it doesn't include
paranormal creatures and is located in the US :)

7.) What Book Villain Would You Not Like To Meet
Alone In A Dark Alley On Halloween?

Any and all book villains. I'm not skilled in any type of martial arts
nor do I possess magical powers. I'd be toast no matter what I encounter!

8.) Would You Rather Dress Up As A Vampire,
Zombie, Werewolf, or Shadowhunter?

I've dressed up as a vampire a few times in my childhood.
I would still choose vampire, but a more gore-y version of it.

9.) Pick A Candy (Just One) From Harry Potter
That You Would Love To Find In Your Stash?

Even though I've watched the HP movies (quite a few years ago)
I don't remember any specific candies from the movie. Oops...

10.) What Is Your Favorite Halloween Candy?

If someone had asked me this a few months ago my answer would be any and all chocolate, but life has other ideas. I recently discovered that I'm the proud owner of a milk allergy. So I've yet to find any type of candy that I truly adore like I did all the industrialized chocolate candy bars.

What do you like most about Halloween?

  1. I do not read scary books. Just not my thing, but that cover up there, for Scary Stories, is terrifying. Clowns - so scary.

    1. I had a phase of just reading scary books in the past. Now it's not something I actively seek out. Though I have fond memories of quite a few. The Scary Stories books are one of those soft spots for me. The covers freak me out too :)

  2. Ooh fun tag. I LOVE Halloween, and I think part of it (here) is the time of year- it's fall and windy and leaves are swirling, and the branches are bare, and it just feels spooky lol. And cloaks are awesome- I would totally love a black cloak with a hood to wear out trick or treating. :) Maybe with a mask on underneath... haha!

I think a vampire would make an awesome costume. Or maybe a really cool werewolf...

    1. I only have a vague recollection from my childhood of what it was like in the month of October in the US. Nostalgia is definitely playing a big part in those memories, so it's probably why I adore Halloween so much. I'm still crossing my fingers for cloaks to make a comeback and for it to be socially acceptable to wear one on a daily basis :)
