…Who later invites her to a coven that Cilla’s not sure she has the guts to attend. But then Emilio, the dark-haired hottie from her charter school, shows up and awakens her inner goddess. Finally, Cilla starts believing in her ability to conjure magick. Until…

…All Hades breaks loose. A prank goes wrong during their high school production of Macbeth, and although it seems Emilio is to blame, Cilla and Goth pay the price. Will Cilla be able to keep the boy, her coven, and the trust of her family? Or will this Southern Wiccan get battered and fried?

Book Review: Tracker's End By Chantal Fernando

Tracker's End
(Wind Dragons MC #3)
By Chantal Fernando

Published: August 11th 2015
Published By: Gallery Books

Tracker is everything I’ve ever wanted.

I see him. I’ve watched time change him.

I’ve been patient, but he still hasn’t noticed me. Not the way I want him to. The more time I spend with the MC, the more I understand.

When you want something, you have to take it. You have to fight for it.

And Tracker is more than worth fighting for…

My Review:

* This review is based solely on the 84% of the book that I read.

My expectations made it so I disliked this book. That's the problem with expectations. You set yourself up for failure almost every time. The second book in this series was so good and the way Tracker was portrayed made it so my expectations sky rocketed. I guess it's my own fault.

Lana was an awesome character. She's (ironically enough) a best selling author, but only her mom knows it because she uses a different name. That's a very clever twist on a character and I loved it. She's also grown a backbone when considering her past and is loyal and loving as ever.

Tracker lost his shine by the 50% mark in this book. He seems to think everyone is out to get him and just because he reads something Lana wrote (that wasn't even published yet) he throws it all out of proportion and won't let her explain. If that's what it is to be in a relationship with him, then I'd rather Lana be alone. Nobody needs that kind of drama on a daily bases in their lives.

I stopped at 84% because I didn't care enough about the characters to power through until the end of the book. If there is another book in this series I will consider reading it, but I'll be carful not to get my hopes and expectations up yet again.

My Favorite Quotes:

"Even though he isn't in my life, he did teach me one very valuable lesson. No matter what, men leave."

"Hearts get broken every day. I'm just another statistic."

"I'm the recluse author who's going to turn into a crazy dog lady."

My Review:

* I was provided an eARC of this novel from the author in exchange of an honest review.

This was the story I was waiting for ever since I read Book #1 in this series! I was so excited when it didn't let me down. My expectations for this novel were sky high and what got delivered was up to par. So for that Mrs. Dark I thank you eternally!

Denver (AKA Denny) did have a past. I was expecting it to go dark like Reno's story, but it didn't. I didn't really mind it in the least, I'm just glad to finally know what made his wolf so aggressive. I didn't like the way he treated Maizy at first and did declare myself Team Prince for a few chapters. I loved how he never stopped being her guard dog. Even after he made a point to distance himself from her, deep down he never stopped caring.

Maizy is all grown up and just got back to town. She's sweet, caring and loves cut off jean shorts. I liked her as a whole, but I had a problem with all her impulsive decisions. I read 70% of this book at night in one sitting so I can't say how old she turns out to be, but I'm guessing at least 20. She should have had more of a grip on her actions.

I had a problem with Prince's actions by the end of this novel. I've liked him over the last few novels, but the way he came off to Maizy as a whole was creepy. I don't know how to even describe how I felt while reading the dialogue. He came off so cold hearted that I actually felt sorry for him in a sense, but he did save that day so he isn't a complete lost cause.

As this series is almost coming to an end and almost everyone I care about is already paired up. I'd like for William to get his happily ever after next time. Heck maybe I'd even read Prince's story, where I hope he discovers he actually cares about love and finds out he can't live without it.

My Favorite Quotes:

"Figure out what you want while you're still young - before it's too late and you live your life in a pattern of rinse and repeat."

"[...] but that kind of shit seeps in real deep. There's no prince, there's no fairy tale, there's no perfect man who will sweep  you off your feet and give you a happily ever after. There's just a guy who's good enough."

"Love is more than making sure I'll have a place to live or the finest silks. Love is doing things without being asked. Will you sit on the steps at sunset and talk to me? Will you make me laugh? Will you read to me when I'm not feeling well? will you hold my hand and tell me secrets?"

**Excerpt**

“Don’t you like me, Denny?”

He shifted his stance. “I’ve never looked at you like that before.”

My voice fell to a whisper. “Then look at me like that.” I rose on my tiptoes until our faces were close. “Don’t make me beg for something you want too. Give me a good memory in this house, Denny. Kiss me the way you would if you loved me.”

His hands slipped behind my neck and his mouth crushed against mine. Warmth. Wetness. Desire. Eagerness. He kissed me hard—ours lips parting and tongues intimately discovering each other. I flattened my hands against his sides, up his strong chest, and then over his broad shoulders.

Someone moaned. Was it me?

Or was it him?

Denver delivered a smoldering kiss that would set the bar high for future suitors. It was demanding and experienced. His lips melted against mine, slowing down and searing into my memory. My legs trembled, and my body ached for him to hold me again. His fingers slipped into my hair, tickling me with soft strokes.

Just when I thought it was dying down, Denver moved in for the kill. This time he moaned audibly. Passion stirred as his body seemed to harden and warm all at once, and images flashed in my mind of us doing things in that room—naughty things. I stood on his feet to get as close as I could.

When he dragged his mouth away and rested his cheek against mine, I curved my arms around his back and put my feet on the floor. We could have pressed on, but Denver embracing me right after was more intimate than the kiss itself. Feeling his chest move with breath, his body warm me with heat, and his muscles tense as they held me tight, filled me with a sense of belonging.

“Is this wrong?” he whispered against my ear.

“Does it feel wrong?”

“No. But maybe I need someone to tell me it is.”
